(CNN)CBS' "Large Brother" crowned its outset Black winner Wednesday night during the season 23 finale when Wisconsin attorney Xavier Prather took home the top prize.

Xavier Prather became the first Black person to win a regular season of "Big Brother."

Garnering all ix jury votes, Prather beat out Derek Frazier, ending a historic run of the bear witness that in 21 years has never had a Black contestant have habitation the big prize during the regular season. (Tamar Braxton won Celebrity Large Brother in 2019).
